Great food and Sydney Harbour views at Ripples Milsons Point

Sandwiched between the iconic Luna Park and the Harbour Bridge, Ripples Milsons Point offers excellent views of Sydney’s landmarks and breathtaking water views of the harbour. Dining here isn’t just about eating, it’s also a feast for the eyes. I’ve visited this restaurant twice in the last two months celebrating a lunch time birthday party, it seems a popular choice amongst my circle of friends. During both occasions, the restaurant was covered with clear vinyl plastic panels, a protection from those wintery cold winds. It’ll be nice to go back this summer when there’s no covering for an uninterrupted view of the harbour and beyond.

Mediterranean feast at Port Jaffa Bondi

Take your tastebuds on a trip to a port of the Eastern Mediterranean without leaving Sydney with the delightful offerings from Port Jaffa, a new Mediterranean tapas bar and grill located at 99 Hall St Bondi Beach. Perfectly nestled in the heart of bustling Bondi, dining here makes you feel like you have been transported to the Mediterranean.

A day trip to Cabramatta!

A day spent in Cabramatta is just like a trip to South East Asia with the advantage of leaving your passport behind. It’s a vibrant and colourful suburb located in South-Western Sydney about 30 kilometres from the City.  A melting pot of different cultures all rolled into one place. A gourmand’s destination with restaurants offering the authentic taste of Asia. An ultimate shopping destination of dry goods, fresh seafood, jewellery, electronics, fabrics, street food and an amazing array of exotic fruits and vegetables.

My Kitchen at The Oasis in Manila – prepare to be delighted

With the horrible traffic jams within Metro Manila, one tends to avoid out-of-the-way restaurants. However, I happily make exceptions for gems like My Kitchen at The Oasis.
My Kitchen is in the little-known Oasis Park Hotel tucked into the curving narrow Belen street in Manila. It may as well be in Timbuktu, if you live in Quezon City and work in Pasig City, given the infuriating traffic jams around the metropolis! Yet for more than a couple of special occasions, we have chosen to celebrate here.
