Sampler cruises, a fun weekend gateway

We have sailed with Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas a number of years ago for a 7 day cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong visiting Vietnam (Nah Trang) and Thailand (Pattaya and Chabang) and we loved it. As first time cruisers our expectations were all met hands down! We were impressed with our room and service, dining, entertainment and activities and shows onboard, never a dull moment.

Day 3 – Queen Elizabeth Sydney – Tasmania – Sydney Cruise

Queen Elizabeth arrived in the port of Hobart early in the morning, although we have been to Hobart before, our arrival by a cruise ship was a first and a truly memorable one. As the ship approached and maneuvered to its dedicated berth, we could smell and feel the cool air of Hobart, after all it was a chilly day at 14 degrees. Sydney may have been hot and sunny when we left but autumn had arrived in Hobart offering a pleasant change.

Day 1- Queen Elizabeth Cruise Liner Review: Sydney-Tasmania-Sydney

It feels like a flashback now when we ventured out on a 5 night Tasmanian Cruise on board Queen Elizabeth, one of the luxurious cruise liners of the Cunard Line last March. Ports of call for this cruise included Hobart and her maiden visit to Port Arthur one of Australia’s important heritage and historical destinations. Salt Grill by Luke Mangan onboard Pacific Eden

The first time we experienced the taste of Salt Grill by Luke Mangan was last year during our first cruise with Pacific Eden. Although you pay to dine here, this onboard restaurant is very popular, lunch and dinner reservations get fully booked within hours of boarding. Despite our attempt to book early, we ended up on the waiting list, which is the next best option as it usually pays off, thankfully the lovely staff were able to accommodate us for lunch and things even got better when Luke Mangan came to say hello at our table.
