Who doesn’t love movies and ice cream?  I think this combo is one the best treats, it cools things off especially during a tense scene of a movie. Ice cream always brings a smile, so there’s always room for it, right? Right!

Late last year, Iconic biscuit brand Arnott’s teamed up with Event Cinemas to launch a new range of delicious sundaes to be available at all Event and BCC Gold Class Cinemas around Australia, (original post link here).  Available in different ice cream flavours, topped with lashings of fudge and whipped cream served alongside with selection of iconic Arnott’s biscuits such as Tim Tam, Mint Slice, Monte Carlo and Caramel Crowns, these delights are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Last Monday, I attended the media tasting of these luscious ice creams plus an advanced screening of the movie, ‘What Men Want’, a comedy/romance movie starring the gorgeous Taraji Penda Henson. Drinks and canapes were offered upon arrival followed by a step by step demonstration of how these sundaes are made by Adam Petta, the Events Group Director of Culinary. The presentation was so enthralling, cameras and gadgets never stopped capturing every second of it. 

After the demonstration, lights were dimmed and the usherettes started to distribute the finished sundaes for guests to taste. I had the Minty Mint Slice, mmmmmm it was so decadent and utterly creamy delicious. Every spoonful was an adventure on the palate, a heavenly taste with all the elements complementing the smooth texture of the minty choc flavour, definitely a must try. To give everyone a totally unforgettable movie experience, a box of pop corn was also served. Now that’s a real treat!  

The four flavours to choose from:  

Classic Tim Tam: scoops of creamy vanilla bean and chocolate obsession ice cream, warm chocolate fudge, waffles, malt crispy bits, Tim Tam biscuits, whipped cream and a cherry on top.

Minty Mint Slice: scoops of choc mint and chocolate obsession ice cream, warm chocolate fudge, Mint Slice biscuits, chocolate malt crumble, choc coated wafer crumbled bits and whipped cream.

The Full Monte Carlo: scoops of creamy vanilla bean and berry ice cream, Monte Carlo biscuits, raspberry crumble, strawberry coulis, vanilla malt crumb, fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

Salted Caramel Crowns: scoops of rock salted caramel ice cream, salted caramel popcorn, malt crumble, Caramel Crown biscuits, warm caramel fudge, whipped cream, honeycomb, classic wafers.

Arnott’s Sundaes are available at all Event and BCC Gold Class Cinemas across Australia for $25.
