The annual Sydney Italian Wine and Food Festival

Now in its 5th year, The Sydney Italian Wine and Food Festival was back and this time at an even bigger venue, The Cutaway, Barangaroo Reserve. All lovers of anything that is Italian were treated with a long fun-filled day of celebration.
Over 200 wines for tasting, fine food, cooking demonstration, artisan food products, top chefs, wine masterclass and live entertainment, the festival has everyone covered for a magnifico day!

It was a feast of the senses with top Sydney Italian chefs turned out at the event include Giovanni Pilu (Pilu at Freshwaters), Lucio Galletto (Lucio’s), Federico Zanellato (LuMi), Stefano Manfreidi and Ginaluca Donzelli (Pizzaparta), Nino Zoccali ( Pendolino), Richard Ptacnik (Otto Ristorante), Gabriele Taddeucci (Balla), Lucio de Falco (Lucio Pizzaria) and Youssef Touati (Salt Meat Cheese). The Marketplace was the designated shopping area with lots of food for sampling before buying. Authentic Italian dishes were offered by pop-up restaurants along with refreshing negronis, venetian spritz and americano cocktails by Aperitivi Bar.

There was no short of vino for tasting, Prosecco, Rose, White and Red Varietals overflowed with wines coming from all over the Italian wine region, Australia was represented by Signor Vino, among others who grow the grape in an Italian style. The live entertainment in the wine garden provided music that captured the spirit of a cultural celebration of food and wine that is so uniquely Italian.
