Mamma Angela’s Trattoria – Rome, Italy

A great way to enjoy a classic Italian Trattoria in the touristy area of Roma Termini is to head down to Mamma Angela. Listed as number one Italian restaurant in the area, it’s only few blocks away from the Grand Central of Rome.
We dined in on a Thursday night, hoping it would be a quiet night, but the restaurant was surprisingly fully booked out, but with a little luck, we were able to get a table in just 30 minutes of waiting.
The restaurant has two main dining areas, outside and inside. The display of wines on every wall is a perfect perch to show off the best sides of all varietal wines that they serve and it’s overwhelming.
Although it was a busy night, our orders came out just right on time as we finished our first glass of wine which was served in generous amounts before we settled on the wine and matching food. All the wines that they served are from the Italian region.
The salmone affumicato, spigola o Orata all’acqua pazza, tiramisu, cream catalana, and dessert wines stood no chance at all. Licking our plates was a customary and acceptable enough.
Mamma Angela’s Trattoria is at via Palesteros 53 Rome (Booking is a must)
